Mount Alvernia High School Launches $20 Million Legacy Project to Celebrate Centennial Year
As part of its momentous centennial celebration, Mount Alvernia High School has announced the launch of a landmark Legacy Project aimed at preserving its heritage and preparing the institution for future generations. This ambitious initiative includes the refurbishment of the school’s auditorium for $15 million JMD and the purchase of a standby generator at a cost of $5 million JMD, totaling a $20 million investment in the school’s infrastructure.
The Legacy Project is not only a tribute to the school’s 100-year legacy of excellence in education, leadership, and character formation — it is a call to action for all alumnae, supporters, and friends of Mount Alvernia around the globe.
This project is about honoring our past while empowering our future. The auditorium is the heartbeat of student life — the place where we gather, perform, celebrate, and inspire. The generator is a practical investment that ensures learning and events can continue uninterrupted, even during power outages.”
Mount Alvernia’s auditorium has served generations of students as a space for school assemblies, graduations, cultural events, and cherished memories. The refurbishment will modernize the space and provide a more comfortable, functional environment for students, staff, and visitors alike.
The addition of a standby generator will ensure that essential operations and events can continue regardless of weather or electrical disruptions — a critical upgrade in today’s learning environment.
This centennial Legacy Project reflects the school’s continued commitment to excellence and resilience, while celebrating the rich history that has shaped generations of Alvernians.
All past students, corporate sponsors, and well-wishers are invited to support this initiative through donations, fundraising efforts, and by spreading the word.

Chetwood Memorial Primary seeks to add a Pavilion as part of its 100 years Anniversary Legacy Project
As Chetwood Memorial Primary School proudly celebrates its one hundredth year anniversary, we are reflecting on a century of dedication to Education, character development and community building. This centennial is not only a celebration of our past but an opportunity to invest in the future of our children.
To mark this historic milestone, we are launching a special centennial project: the construction of a multipurpose pavilion. This structure will provide a sheltered, open- air space where our students can gather for assemblies, physical education, devotional activities, creative activities and outdoor learning – rain or shine.
At present, we lack a dedicated space that offers both protection and flexibility for outdoor activities. The pavilion will significantly enhance the learning environment and wellbeing of our children, allowing for more inclusive and engaging educational experiences.
We are therefore reaching out to you for support in bringing this vision to life. Your sponsorship will directly contribute to a meaningful lasting improvement in the daily lives of our students.
If you are able to support this initiative, we would be deeply grateful. Your generosity will be part of a legacy that continues to nurture young minds for generations to come.
